Viking Pride Newsletter 8-17-18

VERITAS Viking Families,
This week we have been working hard to ensure the school building, staff, and all stakeholders who work for the school are more than prepared for the start of the school year. We have been working hard to norm on schoolwide systems and procedures, Restorative Practices, and many other topics that will help us create the best possible learning environment for all of the students we serve. We could not be more proud and thankful for the hard work that the team is doing every day. We truly have pushed to make sure we are living the VERITAS Vision and Mission. We would also like to remind families that we have a few seats left. If you have any friends or family that are looking for a great educational opportunity with a staff who truly loves children, please encourage them to apply.

Viking Pride Newsletter 8/10/18

We could not be more excited to see everyone’s smiling faces back on campus over the next couple of weeks. The team has been working tirelessly all summer to ensure we are prepared for the best year possible at VERITAS. In this Issue of “Viking Pride,” we hope that you take the time to look at each section and email us to let us know if there is anything else you would like to be included in the newsletter. As the start of the school year approaches, it is becoming more and more important to start to build the routines that will help make the school year a success for all students. Please remember to start to build the habit of either reading to your student, or having them read for thirty minutes every day. This simple activity can have an incredibly positive impact on the overall academic performance of every student. Building a love for literature is something that we must work on as a community and something we will focus on every year at VERITAS. On top of this routine please start to remind your student of our school motto. Remind them that “I Am Smart. I am Strong. I am Peaceful. I am Safe. I am Loved.” , are not just words at VERITAS, but statements that we try to live by as a staff. This will help students who are nervous to be more comfortable as we gear up for the start of the year. We absolutely could not be more excited for the start of the year. We know that by working together we will ensure that every student is happy, healthy, and successful. Thank You for trusting us with the most important part of your lives. We will never stop working to serve our students, families, and the VERITAS Community!
